The very weak point of the Polish municipal waste management is the low degree of their reuse. So far as 92% of all wastes generated in Poland are stored on waste dumps without any processing or neutralisation. The wastes disposed in this way generate toxic substances in the form of gases emitted and refluxes. According to Directives of the European Union such waste disposal cannot take place. In this connection it is necessary to find the re-application for wastes or at least to use the heat energy from their incineration. It shall be followed such countries as Switzerland, where 15% of wastes is disposed onto the waste dumps or Japan, where 34% of wastes is disposed there.
