Main Article Content
Abstract
The number maximum of heterotrophic bacteria in the Gulf of Gdansk was recorded in the vicinity of the Vistula mouth. The taxonomic composition of heterotrophic bacteria was dominated by organisms of Flavobacterium - Cytophaga group. Among the bacterial microflora proteolytic, amylolytic and lipolytic bacteria were very numerous. The bacterioplankton occurring in the Gulf of Gdansk was very active in assimilated amino acids among other low-molecule compounds. For the respiratory activities, the bacteria used casein hydrolyzate very intensely.
